Current Major Projects

FHA P&C is now undertaking its most ambitious project to date: making a documentary specifically about the physics and biology of the human condition.

We are seeking to engage the interest of scientists, philosophers, psychologists and theologians from around the world. Further, we intend to secure the involvement of a major documentary producer, such as the BBC, National Geographic or Channel 4. We are also seeking potential sponsors.

This is a very ambitious project because of humans’ historic resistance to the subject area of the human condition.

The Objectives of FHA P&C

The human condition is the most difficult of issues for humans to deal with because it is the subjective dimension to life, the issue of ‘self’ in fact. Nevertheless, those involved in creating FHA P&C are of the view that the human condition is the underlying issue in all human affairs, the stalling point in human progress and the subject that science must now address.

There are many independent organisations being created around the world to promote issues that conventional science has found difficult to engage. The Santa Fe Institute in New Mexico for example, is an independent organisation established to promote analysis of the issue of complexity and purpose. This is a subject area that has been treated as an anathema by orthodox science. The issue of the human condition has similarly been avoided by orthodox science, this despite eminent scientists such as E. O. Wilson recently acknowledging that, ‘The human condition is the most important frontier of the natural sciences’ (Consilience, 1998).

In 1983 the Foundation for Humanity’s Adulthood (FHA) was established in Australia specifically to address this deficiency and promote scientific study and analysis of the issue of the human condition. FHA P&C is a company that has since been established to publish and promote studies of the human condition, including work from the FHA.

FHA P&C seeks to facilitate dialogue on the issue of the human condition, including bringing together people and organisations from around the world that are genuinely working on the issue. In particular, it seeks to highlight ‘fresh’ thinking and to encourage a new frontier of rational scientific thought.

Services

In pursuit of this objective the services provided by FHA P&C currently include: book publishing and logistics, documentary production, general audio-visual and audio production, production research, public relations and website services.

In 2003 FHA P&C published a book titled A Species In Denial by Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith that deals directly with human’s denial of the human condition. Other articles and books are being considered for publication.
